The Cambuslang & Rutherglen Community Health Initiative was established in 2004 as a result of a merger of the Healthy Living Initiative (HLI) and the Cambuslang and Rutherglen Health & Food Project (CHAF).
Camglen Radio is made by our community, for our community. We aim to promote health in its wide sense, offer a variety of creative volunteering opportunities, provide employment prospects and promote and encourage training & development in media.
Over the last few years certain areas of Cambuslang have benefited from investment linked to the area’s Social Inclusion Partnership status, and subsequently, the development of the NewLeaf Regeneration Framework was launched to address a range of issues across Cambuslang and Rutherglen.
Regen:fx is a charity set-up to help, amongst other things, identify and deliver new and innovative solutions to ease youth disorder, anti-social behaviour and provide youth diversion activities within the regeneration areas of South Lanarkshire.
South Lanarkshire College has had a close working relationship with Whitlawburn Community Resource Centre for many years, bringing a range of courses to the centre, offering residents of Whitlawburn and surrounding areas the chance to obtain nationally recognised qualifications, without leaving their local area.
Community Learning provides learning opportunities for adults who want to learn locally by offering a wide range of opportunities including help with reading, writing and numbers.
The Den is a friendly, relaxed space which offers advice, information and support on health and lifestyle issues.
Universal Connections are places for young people - designed by young people - where they are encouraged to take part in lots of fun learning activities.
Utd Sports is a professional coaching service that offers fun fitness development programmes for children and youths of all ages and ability levels. We are young multi sports coaching company based in South Lanarkshire. Our main coaching speciality lies within the football field.
Voluntary Action South Lanarkshire was established on the 1 April 2011, when the four organisations, CVS Hamilton/East Kilbride, Solve, Create and Lanarkshire Community Development Trust merged to form a new organisation to support and develop the South Lanarkshire voluntary sector.
